Once again – we are BLOWN AWAY by the incredible generosity of @HomeKongKitchen‘s rapidly expanding team of volunteers following the SCMP‘s article about us in Post Magazine! Hongkongers are THE BEST when it comes to showing solidarity and mobilizing support to help the most vulnerable in our city!
This week, Home Kong Kitchen‘s community of roll models baked 370 bread rolls for the homeless and made special deliveries of our signature home baked granary, sourdough, rye, walnut, banana, ginger and apple breads, scones, cranberry and blueberry muffins and Alana’s speciality rum and raison and cinnamon bagels to care homes in Sham Shui Po, Tai Kok Tsui & Yuen Long! We weren’t able to go inside and meet elderly residents due to social distancing restrictions on gatherings, but we received a very touching thank you note and heard that Alana’s apple bread and Myrna’s ginger bread went down particularly well! 💖
